Jennifer Almodova earned a B.A. degree in Sculpture from Scripps College in Claremont, California, and a M.A. degree in Ceramic Sculpture with a special emphasis in Watercolor Painting from San Francisco State University, where she studied with Whitney Chadwick, Wesley Chamberlain and Stephen DeStaebler.

She taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana from 1985 to 1988, taught at the University of San Francisco from 1994 to 1996 and has taught at the San Francisco Academy of Art University since 1991. Since 2005, she has been involved with curriculum development and the building of online classes for the Foundations Department and the Fine Art Graduate Program, writing and filming demonstrations for much of the course material.

In the last 10 years, Jennifer has conducted private workshops throughout the western United States including California, Hawaii, Washington and Montana. She exhibits and sells her paintings in California, Hawaii and Montana, and her work hangs in collections across the United States, Europe and Asia.
